Location. The hotel Pearse House is located in Bishop's Stortford, England, two miles from the town centre, the Corn Exchange, and the museum. Stansted Airport is five miles away.
Hotel Features. The Victorian mansion is set in its own gardens and includes a fitness room and a library. In winter, a log fire is lit in the lounge. There is free parking on site.
Pearse House features a stylish restaurant where home cooked English and European dishes are offered, accompanied by an extensive wine list. Afternoon teas are available. A complimentary full English or continental breakfast is served in the mornings.
Pearse House offers six meeting rooms. Tailor made conference packages are available.
Bishop's Stortford features an 18 hole golf course. The Grand Paddock Centre includes a public swimming pool and a gym. Courts at the local tennis club can be booked at the front desk.
Guestrooms.All 39 guestrooms have original Victorian features including fireplaces, large windows, and high ceilings. The rooms are decorated in shades of red with antique style furniture. The bathrooms have shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. All guestrooms are equipped with televisions, direct dial phones, and wireless Internet access. Further amenities include complimentary newspapers and coffee/tea makers.
Expert Tip. The reconstructed Mountfitchet Castle allows visitors to feel as though they have travelled back in time to 1066 Norman England. The park includes a toy museum, a tea room, and a gift shop.
