Location. The Lodge at Steamboat is set at the base of Mount Werner, just two blocks from the Silver Bullet Gondola, in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Summer or winter, Steamboat is the place to be for outdoor recreation. Opportunities exist for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding and of course skiing and snowboarding. Dozens of galleries and almost 70 bars and restaurants are positioned about town, providing plenty of off mountain entertainment. Lincoln Avenue, primarily between Fifth and Ninth Streets, is where most of the more interesting galleries and shops are located.
Hotel Features. Guests check in at the clubhouse, which features a lounge, outdoor deck and business center with complimentary high speed Internet access. The lodge offers an outdoor pool and five jetted tubs, four outdoor and one indoor. Complimentary coffee and pastries are provided in the morning. A picnic area with barbeque grills is located on the property. Childcare can be arranged, and safe deposit boxes are located at the front desk. Conference space is available and laundry facilities are located on site. Other services and amenities include a billiards table, child care and concierge services.
Guestrooms. One , two and three bedroom condos offer fireplaces and decks, adding to the serene mountain ambience of the property. Full kitchens feature refrigerators, microwave ovens and ranges. Other amenities include cable television, VCRs and high speed Internet access.
Steamboat Lake State Park, 28 miles north of Steamboat, offers plenty of recreation options, including swimming, canoeing and boating in the summer. In the winter, the park offers ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
